Review of Harbor Freight’s Item 62805 or 69297 Fresh water Pump

Video Review

Video Transcript

hello welcome to another edition of
Virginia handyman today we’re going to
review the Pacific hydro star clear
water pump three-quarter horsepower item
number six to 508 also has an item
number six nine to nine seven that’s
sold by Harbor Freight pump this is how
it appears when it comes out the box –
the fittings here and the fittings here
these all three quarter pipe fittings
I’ve got them adapted down to the garden
hose fittings and of course the quick
connects from Harbor Freight for my
hoses now we’ll hook it up I’m using it
as a part of my sprinkler system and
I’ll get this hooked up and show you
what I’m doing here okay as you can see
I have a two hundred seventy-five gallon
water tank that I have hooked up as a
rainwater capture tank to my gutter this
is my garage right here so I just simply
run an extension cord out to be able to
hook up my pump
one thing of note and it’s a big red
bold letters right here and it’s the
only thing that I do have issues with on
this pump says before use
make sure impeller can move freely by
inserting a slotted screwdriver into the
center hold and turn and fan
okay we’re going to show you what when
what they mean by that you look here you
can see that there’s a hole right in the
middle of this thing take your little
thin blade screwdriver run it up in
there
and if you notice I’m seeing just a
little bit of resistance right there
turn it either way
it really doesn’t matter just turn it
back and forth a little bit make sure
that it’s free it does stick every time
that I’ve used it it has been stopped
yeah
I’ve cut my water valve and with the
setup that I’ve got here you can see the
pump is downhill from the tank you must
let this pump prime you have a prime
valve here or there’s instructions on
how to prime this in the owner’s manual
what I do is I’ll wait
till I can see water flowing out of the
head of my sprinkler nozzle that way I
never I’ve already got water through
here hey we’re going to cut it on
basically it’s got like a five foot cord
here plug it up and there you go
supposed to pump out about 50 pounds
pressure but it does exactly what I need
it to do right here
seats my purpose the immensely the pump
with a 20% discount and the fittings
from Lowe’s the quick the necks and
everything I’ve got about at the most
$60 in the pump but that way I can take
this water from this tank which did not
have enough fall to do hardly anything
to get it to my garden and actually use
the regular sprinkler head that looks
like it’s got better than household
pressure thanks for tuning in hope you
this helps and continue to subscribe to
my channel I appreciate

Finding the best water pump is a challenge for anyone and for people who need to use them frequently. If you are an individual or small business that does not have enough money to buy an expensive pump, there are still some great pumps available in the market that do not cost much and will still perform well. In fact, a lot of water pumps have been on the market for so long that they already have their own fans. It is because most of them were created to perform better than their competition, but they have been made to be durable as well.

The first consideration in finding the best water pump is the type of model you want to get. There are some basic models available that are perfect for home use. There are those with low settings and others with high settings. There are also pumps with an automatic shut off feature, and others with no built in shut off feature at all. There are also pumps that only use one outlet so that you do not need to run a power cord.

Another important factor is the amount of water you need to make a full cycle. If you only need to make one shower or use a faucet once, it is best to opt for a smaller pump to save on energy consumption. However, if you have to use more than one faucet and you also want your water to be free from chlorine, then you should look for the larger models that have a higher performance. They will give you the volume you need to make sure that you are always using the right amount of water to make sure that the water you use for cleaning is always clean and safe for drinking.

When buying a water pump, always check out its warranty to ensure that you are protected against any damages caused by the pump. It is also a good idea to look into the manufacturer’s return policy. Some pumps can only be returned if it is defective and there are no defects within the pump. You can also ask about what types of services the company offers such as the availability of repairmen and maintenance personnel.

Another important consideration is the size of the unit. It is best to choose a large unit if you need to use a lot of water. A large pump is not always advisable if you are going to only use one faucet or shower. If you are using a large bathtub, then a smaller pump is sufficient. Make sure that the pump you choose is equipped with a good valve control mechanism so that you do not have to worry about accidentally turning on the faucet when you are not using it.

If you look around in your area, you can find a lot of different brands that are capable of doing the job they were designed to do. They are not all the same, however. If you choose a model that has a good rating, it means that it performs well in a variety of water applications and has a good reputation. This will ensure that you have a pump that is reliable. Make sure to choose a water pump that will fit your budget as well, as there are a lot of pumps that cost more than others.
